It's Fair Week and that usually means lots of time camping and hanging out in or around your camper. We just wanted to share with you some safety tips to keep you and your kiddos safe.
Make sure your RV has a carbon monoxide detector, if it doesn't you can purchase a battery operated carbon monoxide detector designed for use in RV's. Test the detector regularly. Inspect the RV’s generator exhaust system regularly, at least before each outing. When your RV is parked for the week, be aware of other nearby vehicles that may be using generators. When you park make sure exhaust gases can easily blow away from the vehicle. Never use a gas generator inside a home, tent, camper or less than 20 feet from any window, door or vent. Never place the generator under your RV and never use a gas range or oven for heating. This can cause a build-up of CO inside the camper, cabin or home. Never use a portable gas camp stove indoors. Lots of info but we want you to be safe
CO is odorless, colorless and tasteless. The only way to detect it is with an alarm.
Be safe and have a great week at Fair..
