Delton Kellogg Schools issued the following announcement on Oct 27.
DK Parents,
Due to a variety of factors, including many requests for absences from students and staff, as well as the need to practice virtual instruction with students, we are going to have school virtually on Monday, November 15th.
All students are expected to participate online unless they have an excused absence, just like with a normal day of school. This will be a great opportunity for students and staff to practice learning online in case we need to close in the future for illness or weather conditions. Also, our hope is that all families who would like to participate in the Opening Day of firearm deer season are able to, but then students are expected to make up missed work just as they would if they missed a normal day of school.
Technology devices will be sent home with students on November 12th as well as meals for students who request them. More information regarding the learning schedule for the 15th will be sent out later. If you have any questions or need any additional support for this day, please reach out to your children's school's office or the superintendent's office.
Panther Clubhouse will be open the entire day.
