Smit supported these bills, stating they are crucial in ending unfair practices and preventing artificial price inflation for event tickets.
House Bill 4493 exempts concession locations operated by blind individuals from licensure under the Food Law. Rep. Smit noted that this change would incur minimal cost to the state, referencing the $14,627 previously collected in fees.
House Bill 4367 requires the Michigan Department of Education to establish a Purple Star Program for public schools to support students with military connections. Rep.
