BPA State Leadership Conference | Hastings High School fb
The BPA State Leadership Conference took place March 9 – 12, 2023 at the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel in Grand Rapids. At this conference, students participated in business related events and competed for the top spots. Students who placed are eligible to go to national competition taking place in Anaheim, California this year. The following students attended and competed in the following events:
• Ahern, Sophia – Economic Research Team
• Barton, Abby – Economic Research Team & Payroll Accounting
• Boniface, Christian – Open Events
• Easey, Cassidee – Economic Research Team
• Forsberg, Alex – Linux Operating System Fundamentals & Network Administration Using Cisco
• Gaskill, JoDee – Advanced Interview Skills
• Michael, Gage – Java Programming
• Stehr, Nicklas – Business law & Ethics
Abby Barton placed 6th in the state in Payroll Accounting, and Alex Forsberg placed 3rd in the state with Linux Operating System Fundamentals. Both students qualified to attend the BPA National Leadership Conference in Anaheim, California, April 26 – 30, 2023.
The national conference will bring together an estimated six thousand delegates from across the country to vie for top honors in business and information technology skills competitions, attend leadership and professional development workshops, receive awards for community service activities and elect BPA’s 2023–2024 national student leadership team.
