Attendance Matters at Portland Public Schools
Tips for families:
- Have a regular bedtime and morning routine
- Prepare the backpack and clothes the night before
- Schedule medical appointments for after school or later in the day
- Contact the school to report the absence for every day a student misses
- Turn in all medical or court absence notes immediately upon return
- Work with your teacher to complete missed school work
