City of Belding is Seeking Volunteers

City of Belding is Seeking Volunteers

The Belding City Council is seeking volunteers to sit on various City boards and committees. Residents who want to serve their community are encouraged to apply for a variety of positions where they may have an interest. Volunteers make up all positions on the Planning Commission, Zoning Board of Appeals, Recreation Advisory Committee, and several others.  These groups advise the City Council on matters of importance and help in the decision-making process to make the City a great place to live, work and play.  A complete list of volunteer boards and their descriptions can be found on the City’s web Page at www.belding.mi.us.

Currently, the City is looking to fill one or more vacancies on the Planning Commission, Zoning Board of Appeals, Downtown Development Authority and the Museum Advisory Board.  Alternate positions are also available on some boards/committees.

Feel free to apply for one or more committee by submitting a letter of interest and a resume (if available) to City Clerk, Janae Cooper at City Hall, 120 Pleasant Street, Belding, MI 48809 or by e-mail at j.cooper@ci.belding.mi.us

Applications will be kept on file for one year for consideration when other vacancies come up in the future.
