Superintendent Skalka and the Incredible Ned…Who Could See What He Said!
March is Reading Month Story at Lakewood Early Childhood Center
Today, Superintendent Skalka shared and read a magical book, Incredible Ned, authored by Bill Maynard. This uplifting and colorful tale is about a boy named Ned who has a unique gift and learns to express himself with a paintbrush. Filled with rhymes, imagination, and beautiful illustrations, the story made our young readers laugh and learn that each of us have unique talents and abilities. Our students really love having a guest reader in the classroom. The grown-ups seem to enjoy it too! Guest readers provide huge benefits for kids because it’s a great way them to hear fluent reading, inflection, and build a love for reading and exploring stories. We thank all of our educators, and staff who have made March is Reading Month fun and motivated our students to take pleasure in a good book
