City of Hastings issued the following announcement on Feb 23.

REQUEST FOR BIDS

Sale of 2017 Ford Police Interceptor Utility Base

Minimum bid - $12,995

The City of Hastings, Michigan, will accept bids for the sale of one (1) 2017 Ford Police Interceptor Utility Base.  This vehicle will be sold as-is and has approximately 98,300 miles on it. THE FACTORY BOLTS WHICH HOLD THE REAR SEAT IN PLACE HAVE BEEN REMOVED. THESE WILL NEED TO BE REPLACED BY PURCHASER FOR THE SAFETY OF PASSENGERS. Arrangements to view this vehicle can be made by calling 945-2468 weekdays between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.  

The City of Hastings reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any irregularities in any bid, and to award the bid in a manner that the City deems to be in its best interest, price and other factors considered.  Bids will be received at the office of the Hastings City Clerk/Treasurer, 201 East State Street, Hastings, MI  49058 until 9:00 AM on Monday, March 14, 2022 at which time they shall be opened and read aloud.

The winning bid, if any, will be approved at the City Council meeting on March 28, 2022.  Winning bidder must be prepared to take possession with certified funds prior to April 4, 2022.

No formal bidding forms or documents are required, but all bids must be in writing and sealed.  All sealed bids shall be clearly marked on the outside of the bid package as follows: SEALED BID – 2017 Ford Police Interceptor.
