City of Hastings issued the following announcement on Oct 8.
We heard you, and it's finally happening! Next week, construction starts on The Lofts at 128. These 21 apartments will be built on the southwest corner of Apple and Michigan. Construction of the The Lofts at 128 is scheduled for completion next summer.
Michigan Avenue between Apple Street and State Street will be closed starting at 8:00 a.m. Monday October 11th so the contractor can begin the underground work for water and sanitary sewer connections. This street section closure is expected to be in place the full week of October 11th.
