We are planning a meeting with groups and individuals that have an interest in supporting foster care youth and their caregivers.
Our purpose is to gather information about the needs of foster care youth/young adults with disabilities, as well as their families and caregivers.
This foster care stakeholders’ meeting will be an opportunity to discuss:
• Existing resources and support
• Transition services
• Independent living, post-secondary education, and employment supports
• Self-advocacy information and resources
• Gaps in service provision or barriers to accessing support and resources
Who should attend? Parents, foster parents, youth with an IEP in foster care, and young adults in Adult Voluntary Foster Care
