Hastings Area School District issued the following announcement on July 15.
Hastings High School, Middle School and Michigan High School Athletic Assoc. are requiring a sports physical for the upcoming school year for all 6th thru 12th graders participating in school sponsored sports. A current sports physical must have been given on or after April 15th 2021.
The best option is to make an appointment with your primary Physician, Pediatrician or PA. Inform them that you need a SPORTS Physical BEFORE Aug 9th.
If you are unable to see your Dr. before August 9th, you can also contact Spectrum Occupational Health in Hastings (across the street from McDonalds). They are offering Sports physicals for $25. A parent must accompany minors. The number to make an appt. is 269 948-3102.
For anyone else still needing a physical, local Health care workers and Hastings Area Schools will be offering physicals at Hastings High School on Tuesday night Aug. 10th. From 6:30 to 8:30pm. A $10 donation is asked to be made for the Physical, with all donations going to the Hastings Athletic Boosters.
You can get the needed physical card at the High School and Administration Offices.
